To all my fellow Irishmen (we are all Irish on St. Patty's Day, no?), I say Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

Thanks to Mopsy over at Lifenut, I got the idea of having Lucky Charms for breakfast this morning. It was a hit and almost everyone loved them!

Since it is Friday, I think I will prepare the following for dinner tonight:

Erin's Soda Bread

Corned Beef Sandwiches and green mashed potatoes, along with some green vegetables.

So that was the plan for Friday. Also, I had planned to get my post up, actually on Friday. It didn't seem to work out that way. So here I am on Monday Tuesday, finishing up my post.

I didn't get to make the soda bread, but plan to some time this week because I did buy the buttermilk.

Baby Proofing 101

How do you baby proof this?

And yes, he figured out how to get to the next step.

He gets up.

I take him down.

He gets up.

I take him down.

Do you see a pattern?

Do you know what I will be doing ALL. DAY. LONG?????

New Word For The Day

From my 8 year old. Going through the spelling list and finding a new way to spell - whole. According to him it is spelled W-H-O-R-E. I rolled my eyes and asked him to please not spell it that way on the test.....................hoping he remembers.

It's 8:30 pm and I'm wondering why the doctor hasn't called me back.

Picking up the phone to call the office and bitch.

Hearing a busy signal.

Steaming that somebody let the baby play with the phone.

Finding the other phone.

Embarrassment - realizing it was ME that left the phone off the hook 245 minutes ago.

Nobody will get through that way.

About me, this picture was taken about 2 years ago. I am usually behind the camera, so there aren't a lot of pictures of me. I am new to blogging and trying to figure this whole thing out. I will add more about my family soon.

A Great Book

I just finished reading this great book! It's called The Baby Catcher by Peggy Vincent. You can go to to get some information about her book and some excerpts. Now I wish I could have had a homebirth. I have always wondered about it and now after reading Peggy's book, I really wish I could have. If you are interested in anything to do with midwifery, check out her book. I think you'll like it.
